I uninstalled MB for now since I trust Windows to be more thorough, just purely based on the fact that running a full scan takes maybe 15 minutes if not longer, but I want MB again assuming I can get it to not "take over" Windows Defender's role.Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our rules and check our regularly-updated wiki before posting. Case in point I ran a scan 2 weeks ago and MB didn't detect anything but Windows Defender said that a "threat was found".
I kinda like having 2 separate ones instead of just Windows offloading all the responsibility to a 3rd party app lol. Then I open Windows Defender and now on this window, it just says that I have Malwarebytes installed and there's no options to scan now (from within Windows Defender). I was perfectly fine just using their free version but I was being forced to start the trial so whatever, I did it.Īfter arriving at the main screen though, I run a scan (lasted maybe 1 minute max) then I close MB. So I open Malwarebytes today after not having used it for maybe 2 weeks, and I was met with a window that forces me to get a premium 14-day trial.
